Plus Size Boudoir in Melbourne: Every Body Belongs Here

Plus size boudoir in Melbourne should not be a special category, and honestly, in my studio it is not. It is just boudoir. But I am writing this post anyway, because I know exactly what many women type into Google late at night before they let themselves enquire. Can I do boudoir at my size? Will the photographer know how to pose me? Will I look like the photos on the website?

So let me answer the questions you have not asked yet, directly and honestly.

There is no weight requirement for feeling beautiful

There is no scale at my door and no size limit on my sessions. Women of every body shape walk into my Footscray studio, and every one of them walks out with images that stop them mid-sentence. Not because I photograph them to look like someone else, but because they finally see themselves photographed with skill, intention and care.

Your body is not a before photo. It is the whole story, exactly as it is today.

Posing does the heavy lifting, not you

Here is the industry secret no one tells you. The women in every stunning boudoir photo you have ever admired were posed into those images, curve by curve, angle by angle. Nobody arrives knowing how to do this, at any size.

In my sessions, you are guided through absolutely everything, from the arch of your back to the angle of your chin to what your hands are doing. I know which poses celebrate softness, which angles create shape, and how light flatters every body. You never have to guess, and you never have to perform. You just follow my voice.

Lingerie sizing, honestly

Practical talk, because shopping is where many women give up before they start. Buy for the body you have now, not the one you have been told to want. A properly fitted piece in your actual size will always photograph better than something smaller digging in. Bodysuits, high-waisted sets, silk robes and oversized shirts are gorgeous on curves. And if shopping feels overwhelming, tell me. We plan outfits together before every session, and my guide on what to wear to a boudoir shoot is a good place to start.

What I will not do

I will not photoshop you into a different body. Smoothing a temporary blemish is one thing. Reshaping a woman into someone she is not would defeat the entire purpose of what happens in my studio. The point of this experience is not to look like someone else. It is to finally see yourself, and to be honest, that is the moment that makes most women cry happy tears at their reveal.

What plus size boudoir clients tell me afterwards

I was terrified you would not know how to photograph my body. Then: you knew exactly what you were doing. And finally, the sentence that matters most: I have never seen myself look like this. Not thinner. Not different. Like this. Radiant, powerful, and completely herself.

If you have been waiting to be smaller first

Some women have been putting this off for five, ten, twenty years, waiting to earn it. Here is the truth from someone who has photographed hundreds of women. There are only two perfect times to do this. Ten years ago, and right now.

Send me an enquiry here and ask me anything, including the awkward questions. There is no pressure and nothing to prepare. And if you would like to see exactly how a session unfolds, from booking to holding your album, it is all in what happens after you book your boudoir session.

Every body belongs here. Especially yours.
