What happens after you book a boudoir session? For most women, the hardest part is not the shoot itself. It is the moment before, when you are deciding whether to say yes.

So many of the women who walk into my Footscray studio tell me the same thing afterwards. I wish I had known how simple the process was. I would have booked years ago.

So let me take the mystery out of it. Here is exactly what happens after you book with me, step by step, so you know there is nothing to figure out on your own and nothing waiting to catch you out.

Step one: you say yes, and your spot is secured

When we first speak and you decide this is something you want, there is only one thing that happens that day. You secure your spot with a small retainer fee, and your session is locked in with me.

That is it. You do not need to know what you will wear. You do not need to have chosen a payment option. You do not need to have anything figured out. The retainer simply reserves your place, and every other decision is something we make together, later, with plenty of guidance.

I structure it this way on purpose. Deciding to do something for yourself is a big enough step for one day. Everything else can wait.

Step two: your two guides arrive

Within a few days of booking, two guides land in your inbox.

The first is your Boudoir Guide. It walks you through outfits and lingerie, what photographs beautifully, what to bring on the day, and how to prepare your skin, hair and nails. Think of it as me sitting beside you while you pack your bag.

The second is your Payment Guide. It lays out every payment option clearly, including weekly and fortnightly plans, so you can look through it in your own time, with no one watching over your shoulder.

You do not need to do anything with these guides except read them with a cup of tea. They exist so that when we speak again, nothing feels unfamiliar.

Step three: your planning call, within a day or two

Within about 24 to 48 hours of booking, we jump on a planning call together. This is where your session actually takes shape, and we make three decisions, in order.

First, we decide how many outfits you would like to shoot. Second, based on your outfits, we confirm how many photos you would love to walk away with. Third, we set up a payment plan that genuinely works for your budget, whether that is weekly or fortnightly.

We lock this call in while we are still on the phone from your very first conversation, so it never drifts into a maybe. By the end of it, your whole experience is mapped out and there are no surprises left anywhere.

Why outfits and photos go hand in hand

Here is something useful to understand before your planning call. Your outfits and your photo collection are connected.

Each outfit creates its own set, its own mood, its own version of you. The more outfits you bring, the more variety we create together, and the more images you will fall in love with. A silk robe tells one story. A structured bodysuit tells another. That favourite oversized shirt tells a third.

This is why we plan outfits and photo numbers together on the same call. When you understand how one shapes the other, choosing your collection becomes simple and honest, with no guesswork and no pressure.

Shoot day: nothing left to pay, nothing left to think about

This is the part I love most about how the process works.

Your payment plan is designed so that everything is settled two to three weeks before your session. That means when your shoot day arrives, there is nothing left to pay and nothing left to organise. You simply walk in, get pampered with professional hair and makeup, enjoy your shoot, and choose your photos, all in one day.

And because everything is complete before the day, you also receive your bonuses on top. The day itself belongs entirely to you. No admin, no decisions hanging over you, no numbers in the back of your mind. Just you, being celebrated, feeling amazing, and enjoying every minute.

What happens after you book: the whole journey at a glance

Say yes and secure your spot with a retainer. Receive your Boudoir Guide and Payment Guide. Have your planning call within 24 to 48 hours, where we choose outfits, photos and a payment plan together. Complete your payments before the day. Then arrive at the studio with nothing to do but be looked after.

Every step has guidance built in. You are never left to work anything out alone, from the first phone call to the moment you see your finished images.
